We’re thrilled to introduce our incredible 3rd year veteran dancer, Reynard Dain! Rey’s dance journey began in the streets of the Philippines, where he discovered his passion for movement and rhythm at a young age. After moving to Dunedin, he brought his talent and energy to the stage, performing in numerous musicals at the Regent Theatre.
Now, as a proud member of the Otago Dancers, Rey continues to inspire us all with his boundless energy and enthusiasm. You’d never guess that he had NO FORMAL TRAINING!??!?! WHAAAT!!! – his passion and dedication make him a true role model for aspiring dancers everywhere.

I enjoyed and loved dancing for the Nuggets last year so much that I came back for another season! I really loved the energy and atmosphere! So, bring it on this season!

Reynard is a true inspiration, showing that passion and hard work can take you anywhere!
Rey’s 3rd year on the team, and we couldn’t be prouder of his journey! Outside of dancing, he loves playing badminton and volleyball. Despite being a “shorty,” he’s always training to jump higher – nothing can stop him! And… he is definitely one of the highest jumpers in our team!!!
We believe that Rey truly is an inspiration and role model to any aspiring dancer!!!
